My Story

On the 26th of May 2024 I will be doing my first half marathon, in support of an amazing charity called ANDYSMANCLUB and would like to ask if my friends, colleagues and family would be able to support/sponsor me, which can be done on this fundraising page any donation no matter how big or small will help massively.

ANDYSMANCLUB are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. On average one man every 2 hours takes his life in the UK. It's often said the biggest factor is that men don't talk. We need to break down this stigma and support men struggling with mental health issues.

ANDYSMANCLUB holds a special place in my heart on many levels and is not just a charity it is often the one place the only place that many of its users feel safe enough to lower their mask and talk about their inner most thoughts and feelings. The place to be safe without judgment or stereotyping just a place to be with other men who have lived and breathed the feelings you feel in that moment and other times just have a cuppa or share a hug with a familiar face. #itsokaytotalk

I recently watched the below video released by Norwich City FC, and it really resonated with me on a number of levels from my own personal journey and also the importance to dispel the myth that people will show signs when in fact the truth couldn’t be more opposite.
